Hello world!!!! That was the existing header from the blog template and it is so very fitting! This blog is going to chronicle our preparation for an around the world trip and the trip itself- so “Hello world” is perfect!
If you are here, you probably know us- but just in case, allow me to introduce us: I am Aimee, married to Rob, and we have six children (plus a bonus child) that range in age from 26 down to 8.

I am a Registered Nurse Case Manager currently working at travel positions to make extra money. Rob is a high school English teacher and Track and Field/Cross Country Coach. Our oldest three children, Michael, Katelynn, and Christopher, have flown the nest. Our younger daughter, Jade, is a high school senior who is chomping at the bit to go off to college and does not want to travel with us, except for school breaks. Our two youngest children, Ian and Eli, are 8 and 10 years old respectively and are up for any adventure. Basically, everyone else thinks we’re mad.
We are currently purchasing gear and purging possessions. We plan to travel carry-on only and leave only a very small amount in storage. We will sell, gift, or dispose of almost everything over the next nine months. By June 5th, 2020, we intend to be free of most of the things that we have accumulated over the past couple of decades. I plan to post updates along the way and hope you’ll share this journey with us!
